After attending an information evening on the clean-up of an old disused coal mine in my local area, I began to think about the nature around me, reminisce about how I enjoyed my surroundings as a child and all the wonderful experiences I had in our nearby bushland and surrounding areas of the Southern Highlands. I began thinking about how much we have already lost and how much it has maddened me over the years.
Yet I, as many others, have not done too much about it. Thinking that we are powerless. However, it is up to each and every one of us to shout out about the destruction around us and demand change, in order to preserve what is left for our grandchildren.
My blogs are about memories of my childhood, and of my life and nature in all its aspects and the beauty that is Australia, that we often take for granted.
